Why a blog?

1) It feels more productive than housecleaning.
2) I need a creative outlet.
3) I stink at staying in touch with friends and family.
4) I want to keep a record of the memories that our family is making.
5) Why not?

Who am I? The answer seems to evolve. I am a child of God, wife to my best friend, mother of three daughters (including being a mother of twins), home school teacher, friend, inactive occupational therapist, Florida Gator, and novice writer. I love the outdoors and exploring. I drink coffee in the morning and tea in the afternoon. I like to discover new restaurants, but also enjoy cooking for my family. I take pleasure in reading and running, both of which I am committing to do more of this year. I can be a skeptical optimist. I also love to find humor in irony and often claim the verse in Proverbs 31: 25 “She is clothed with strength and dignity; she can laugh at the days to come.” I am probably more often laughing than clothed in strength and dignity. But at least it’s a goal. We have taken the opportunity to live for one year in Colorado. So this blog will mostly be about the adventures along this year. But who knows what you’ll find; I am sure I don’t. I’m just a girl in the Rockies.

I was cleaning out my work email and found where D had sent me your blog address. I have spent a few minutes reading and will dive in later tonight. I also blog – I left it for about 7 months and started again in 2010. I stalled when I remembered my blog is connected to facebook and shows up there as a post. Not sure I want to go that public, so, I will fix that and get back to it. Thanks for sharing.
